Pale Blaze is a high-end indoor-outdoor art-furniture line by scientist and multimedia artist Patricia Buse, working in custom pigmented architectural acrylic. The pieces are phenomenological by design — shapeshifters that bend, scatter, and cast color as the light shifts across a day and a season. As a nascent brand, Pale Blaze needed its first website that conveyed not just how the objects look, but how they behave in the elements.

A site built to feel something like the work itself — saturated, atmospheric, and slightly unpredictable. Product imagery moves between the illustrative and abstract, holding both the crisp lines of the objects and the sense of immersion they create in light. The layout logic is deliberately anti-grid: very little locks into rigid rows, so each piece is given room to register slightly differently. Color is significant throughout, setting a mood that shifts as you move through the catalogue — a digital echo of light passing through saturated material.
